The native Pittsburgh team will start their race in Oceanside, California and will end in Annapolis, Maryland. This will be the third time the team has competed in the race that runs across 12 states with a total of 3,000 miles. The cycling team will be racing to bring awareness of pulmonary hypertension and to raise funds for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.

As a member of the medical community, Hydzu is in frequent contact with individuals who have various illnesses. Pulmonary hypertension does not have a cure and it is a life threatening condition. By sponsoring the race, Hydzu hopes to play a small role in bringing awareness to PH. Living with pulmonary hypertension is often very uncomfortable and stressful.
